THEOLOGICAL WORKS.
Among a number of theological works recently published are "The Last Discourse arid Prayer of Our Lord," by Henry Barclay Swete, D-D., and "The Eschatology of Jesus," by H. Latimer Jackson, D.D. (Macmillan, London). The former volume is designed by the author more particularly for use in Holy Week, when the Church of England reads St. John xiv.-xvii. daily. It is not intended in any degree as a formal commentary. The latter is a critical examination of all the Scriptures pertaining to the coming, the life, and the sayings and teachings of Christ. Messrs Elliot , Stock (London) have published Spiritual Consciousness," bv the Rev. Bawl Wilberforce, and " Prayer-book Ideals, by Henry Phipps Denieon. The former is a collection of sermons upon special subjects and for special occasions the latter an interpretation of the ideals of worship and of life represented by the prayer-book. J
'The Church in Action," by the Rev. J. E. Watts-Ditchfield, and "A Vision and , a Voice," by the Rev. Robert G. Philip, are published by Robert Scott (London). The former comprises a series of lectures delivered during the Lent term at the divinity schools, Cambridge, while the latter is described as "an attempt to paint the age and to point its stirring story." 6
An addition to the "Studies in Theology" series of Messrs. Duckworth is "Christianity and Sin," by Robert MacKintosh
