another quiet day.
MUSICAL programmes.
! a fair proportion of the \isitors now • attending the Exhibition are country people- Yesterday was a fairly quiet day. The total attendance was 1906, and of these 1136 adults and 159 children paid for admission. The sum of £1 IBs 6d was taken for admittance to the art gallery. In the afternoon an enjoyable orchestral concert "as given, and in the evening the Onehnnga Municipal Band played a pleasing programme at No. 1 rotunda. Fireworks., including sojne novelties, will form t.i.e main attraction to-night. A musical programme by the Garrison Band Kill also be given in tho evening, from Mennie'f rotunda. A series of vocal competitions, to be held under the auspices of the Exhibition executive, is being arranged for the near future. Both ladies and gentlemen will le catered for. •he competitions should prove a popular attraction, as they will be conducted in the open air.
