NEW FREEZING WORKS.
OPENED NEAR OAMARU.

Oamaru, Thursday. The official opening of the Christchurch Meat Company's new works at Pukeuri, took place to-day. A luncheon, at which were representatives of public bodies, the business and farming communities, to the number of several hundreds, and the directors was held to celebrate the occasion. The visitors included the Hon. W. Fraser (Minister for Public Works).
The new works have 90,000 ft of floor space, and can handle up to 3000 lambs daily.
