VICTORIA RACING CLUB.

FLEMINGTON AUTUMN ' MEETING. ANOTHER VICTORY FOR RADNOR. By Telegraph— Association— (Received March 5, 9.40 p.m.)

Melbourne, March 5. The Victoria Racing Club's Autumn Meeting was continued at Flemington to-day. The weather was fine and there was a large attendance. His Excellency the GovernorGeneral (Lord Dcnman) and party were again present.

Some good racing was witnessed, though the fields were small. The winners in five of the races were anticipated successfully by the public.

The Loch Plate proved to be rather a tarce. Radnor's brilliancy frightened off competitors, leaving only two to compete for places;. The Parisian ran'well, but was never in the race. Radnor looked good for another mile and must run well in the Champion Stakes.

The C. M. Lloyd Stakes gave rise to a most exciting finish, a, narrow victory going down to the credit of Jolly Beggar, who is estimated to be the best miler now on the Australian turf.

Popinjay led by four lengths at the end of half a mile, Jolly Beggar, who was his immediate attendant, being a similar distance in advance of Cider and Cagou. Coming to the distance Popinjay was leading by a neck, with Jolly Beggar and Cider racing almost on i?rms. Jolly Beggar kept up his run in :ino style, and in a great finish the son oi Ayr Laddie won by a head. Popinjay was four lengths in front of Cider. Time, lm 59Js.
