His Honor Mr. Justice Cooper left lv last evening's Main Trunk train for Hamilton.

Barnes, national travelling secretary of the Young Women's Christian Association, arrived in Wellington on Tuesday and was present at the farewell tendered to Mrs. Webster, president of tho Wellington Association. Miss Barnes will arrive in Auckland to-day and will spend a week here before leaving for America.

Earl and Countess Grey arrived in Christchurch lust evening from Dunodin. Today and to-morrow they will be taken by the Governor, the Karl of Liverpool, to visit a number of beauty spots and industrial establishments in and about tiro city, and they will leave to-morrow evening for Wellington— (Press Association.)
