NINE MINERS DROWNED.
CUT OFF BY THE WATER.

Brussels, March 4. While 350 men were at work in a mine in the province of Hainault yesterday, the pit was flooded.
The water rose rapidly, but the cages were able to lift all but nine out of the mine before the workings filled up.
These men, who were working hi a distant part of the mine, were cut off and drowned.
