MURDER IN CHICAGO.
FATE OF A YOUNG GIRL.
THE SEARCH FOR CLUES.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright
Chicago, March 3. A photograph of the eye of a girl, who was clubbed to death in the cemetery of St. Nicholas, has been taken by the police authorities, with the object of gaining a clue to the murderer. A foreigner named Petras is accused of the crime, and the motive is believed to be jealousy.
Oculists assert that the retina of the dead girl's eye will probably show the person who committed the crime if he were visible, to the girl before she became unconscious.
