TAKAPUNA COUNCIL.

A special meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council was held last evening, when there were present: Messrs. E. W. Alison (Mayor), F. E. N. Gaudin. E. E. Grimwade, W. Blomfield, A. Raynes, A. E. Warnock, H. Brett, J. Collins, and Dr. W. E. Fullerton. The meeting was called for the purpose of considering the questions of declaring certain weeds noxious, and the provision of bathing facilities. In connection with the former, the following resolution, moved by the Mayor, was passed:—" In exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, the Takapuna Borough Council hereby resolves and declares, by way of special order, that the plants mentioned in the schedule hereto are noxious weeds within the Borough of Takapuna.
