POWER-BOAT RACES.

HANDICAPS FOR ALL EVENTS.

Owners of power-boats who failed to secure prizes at the Anniversary Regatta

on Thursday will have an opportunity of regaining their lost laurels at the New Zealand Powerboat Association's regatta this afternoon. No fewer than seven events figure on the programme, and, as 65 launches havo already entered for the various events, a fine afternoon's sport should result. In addition to the usual prizes, there will bo champion pennants, presented by Commodore Jaggs, to bo competed for. Owners of launches are requested to note the following rules for the regatta :—All boats must fly tho association's burgee and have numbers displayed on both sides. Handicaps will be given at the start, and each bout will go at the fall of her number, which will be displayed one minute before starting-time. Tho course is six and a-half knots, starting from tho flagship, thence round buoy moored on north side of pile

beacon, thence round dock buoy, finishing south side of flagship.
