ALLEGED INFRINGEMENT.

London, January 28. An. action has been brought by Miss Rosemary Rees, of Gisborno (New Zealand), who has been in London for some few years, and • has written several plays, against Messrs. Walter Melville and Frederick Melville, the well-known writers of Drury Lane melodramas, for alleged infringement of her rights in the play " The Beggar Bride" by the production of "The Beggar Girl's Wedding." In. the course of her evidence to-day, the plaintiff said the defendants paid her £60 for her play, but afterwards refused to produce it, and the money was returned by her-
