YESTERDAY'S BUSINESS.
Business was quiet on the sharemarket yesterday. In standard stocks, Bank of New Zealands were in demand at £11 18s, New Zealand Insurances at £5 15s 6d, and South British at 82s. Sales of Auckland Gas were made at 295, and a transaction in Auckland Trams (pref.) was reported at 21s. P
Wailua improved slightly. They were done at (545), 53s 6d, 535, 52s 9d, and again at 535. VVaihi Grand Junctions sold at 26s 6d and 26s 3d. Sellers of Talismans asked 43s fid, and buyers offered 435.
