TON OF TROUT.

A ROTORUA CATCH. ANGLERS GET GOOD SPORT. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] Rotorua, Tuesday. During last week some satisfactory catches of fish have been obtained from Rotorua Lake, both by trolling and with the fly. The fish give a good amount of sport. The Government fish depot has also bad several good hauls, and on Monday morning the employees secured nearly a ton of fish, the greater part of which was Bold locally and the balance smoked. The largest wai a brown trout which turned the scales at 111b, and the best of the rainbow trout weighed 81b.

Smoked trout is becoming very popular with the local as well as with the travelling public.
