BIG BUTTER EXPORT.

INCREASE MAINTAINED.

ZEALANDIO NOW LOADING

TRADE WITH VANCOUVER.

The extent and importance of the dairying industry is again exemplified by the fact that the steamer Zwslacdic, which leaves Auckland for London direct to-morrow evening, is loading a large quantity of dairy produce. The consignment consists of some 20,800 box ,-,{ butter. New Zealand butter is quoted at 116s to 118s per cwt. or. the London market. Taking 117s as the average value, the Zealandic's butter cargo is worth £55,120, E.0.b., Auckland.

The expen -A butter from the province this season ;-h.;. a great advance over that of the previous season. Including the Zealandic's cargo, the number of boxes exported during the present season is 278,716, as compared with 259,665 for the same period of last season, an increase of 39,051 boxes, or a little over 16 per cent. In addition to her cargo of butter, the Zealandic is taking 2600 crates of cheese, bringing the total export this season to London to 8234 crates, which shows the satisfactory increase of 4954 crates over the same period of last year.
