IMPERIAL TRIBUNAL.
GETTING COURT INTO ORDER. SPEECH BY LORD HALDANE. By Telegraph— Association—Copyright. (Received January 10. 12.15 *.».) London, January 9. An interesting speech on the recent changes in the Judicial Committee was made yesterday by Viscount Haldane, at Edinburgh. He said there was nothing so interesting as getting the supreme Empire tribunal into order. Sir C. A. Cripps, who takes the title of Lord Parmoor, would be added to the judges of the Empire tribunal. Viscount Haldane added that it would be theoretically possible for the Judicial Committee to sit" in a distant Dominion to determine a boundary dispute, or something requiring local knowledge, but it could never be thought for a moment that they could have a supreme tribunal elsewhere than the metropolis of the Empire.
