RIOTOUS CHAIRMAKERS.
MOB ATTACKS POLICE. FURIOUS FIGHT FOLLOWS. By Telegraph— Press Association—Copyright. (Received January 9, 11.15 p.m.) London, January 9. Two thousand chairmakers at High Wycombe yesterday went on strike, attacked a factory, and smashed the windows. A furious hand-to-hand fight with the police followed, bottles and stones being used as weapons. Several of the police were injured. The non-strikers, who were working in the factories, were rescued with great difficulty.
