health, and accomplish easily your daily tasks in life. Why. then, should you hesitate to properly equip yourself for the battle? Here, at your hand, are the greatest achievements of Science in the optical field —"Kryptok" and "Kontorik" lenses— waiting to be fitted to your needa.by the experienced specialist, supplying the "solution to one of the most important problems I of your daily li m . Samuel Barry has equipped his sight-testing rooms at 290, Queen Street, with the latest appliances for fitting and grinding these lenses, a process which requires the greatest skill i and care. . •I " ' I NEW OPTICAL DISCOVERIES. | II V i " Kryptok" lenses have revolutionised the wearing of glasses for those who require eye-assistance both for distent and near vision. They supply a long-felt want in that they combine in one lens a read- I mg as well as a distant sight, invisibly ' fused by a newly-discovered process. I They have none of the disadvantages of ! the old-fashioned pasted bifocals, which j were, in the past, the nearest approach to a solution of the difficulty of changing from one pair of glasses to the other;' they mean, in short, absolutely perfect, f youthful vision to aged, or middle-aged eyes. No less in importance is the " Kontank" lens, made with a deep inner curve. This is now admitted to be the only really correct shape to suit the rotary movemente of the eye, for with a "Kontorik" lens the vision is just as perfect through the periphery,- that is towards the edge of the lens, as in the middle. The field of vision is therefore considerably enlarged, and the gain in comfort and appearance, as well as efficiency, is very marked. lllr. Barry makes a specialty of these new glasses, and will be pleased to explaip their merits, either at his rooms, 290, Queen Street, or at hia Exhibition display.
