NSTITUTE OF SURVEYORS.
The annual meeting of the New Zealand Institute of Surveyors took place yesterday. Mr. Thomas Humphries, late Surveyor-General, presiding. Delegates attended from every part of the Dominion. A great deal of formal business was transacted, and the membership was shown to have increased, so that it now includes nearly all the surveyors in the Auckland province. In the evening the Auckland members of the institute entertained their confreres at a dinner in the Star Hotel, Mr. H. Munro Wilson presided over this gathering. The proceedings were marked by great cordiality, and a number qf toasts were honoured dttxjnjj th» coarse of the evening.
