WESTLAND'S JUBILEE.

SECOND DAY'S DOINGS. [BY ffKUKJBAPH.—rKESS ASSOCIATION.] Hokitika, Thursday. The weather was ideal to-day for the continuation of the Westland Jubilee celebrations. Their Excellencies the Earl and Countess of Liverpool, visiting members of Parliament, and local bodies motored to Lake Kaneiri, visiting the famed, Dorothy Falls. The Governor expressed the grandeur of the scenery, and was highly pleased with the trip. The party returned to Lake Mahinapua, where a monster picnic was held. Motorlaunch trips, sports, etc., were indulged in, but the feature of the gathering was an impromptu concert, and items being given by old pioneers. Late this afternoon His Excellency, accompanied by officials of the Westland ■- Acclimatisation Association, tried his luck at trout-fishing in the Hokitika River. The vice-regal party will leave here on Saturday.
