Effect of New Agreement.
The effect of the agreementwhich was signed by the employers at the Chamber of Commerce yesterday afternoon, and which is now ready for registration to practically place the proposed new union of old watersiders out of court. The union may be registered, but if the employers are approached by it for an agreement or an award, they can reply that all the men they employ are already members of a union, and that an agreement is already in existence.
