Describing the work of the Egyptian Camel Corps in South Kordofan, Earl Percy, of the Grenadier Guards, states that the Baggara are the remnants of a tribe of fierce warriors who formed the main fighting strength of the dervishers. The Camel Corps recently explored tl » labyrinthian recesses of those m mntains. Though some losses were sustained by the attacker.; th" tribesmen realised that their immunity had vanished and Hint the arm of the Government was able to reach them.
