LONG TELEPHONE CABLE.
By Telegraph—Press Association— London, December 30. A telephone cable, which has just been laid between Nevin, in. Carnarvonshire (Wales) and Howth, in Ireland, a distance of 64 nautical miles, is the longest that has ever been laid.
