THE LICENSING BILL.
MEASURE CIRCULATES TO-DAY. [BY TELEGRAPH.— CORRESPONDENT Wellington, Sunday. TnE Licensing Bill will be circulated tomorrow in accordance with the promise made some time ago by the Prime Minister, but will not be proceeded with this session. It provides for a reduction of the effective majority in national prohibition polls to 55 per cent., but leaves unaltered the existing three-fifths majority in local option polls. The Bill also contains provisions designed to establish clearly the illegality of employing unregistered barmaids in private bars.
