The chance of a settlement in Ireland is smaller to-day than when. Mr. Asquith spoke at Ladybank, said Mr. Bonar Law (Leader of tho Opposition), in a speech at Carnarvon last night. Unionists regarded tho speech ; Leeds as closing the door. "If the Government makes any proposal to me, wo shall consider it regardless of party advantage or "disadvantage."
