BRIEF SUMMARY. Summing up the facts in brief, we have tried to give you, through our Exhibition demonstration; accurate and up-to-date knowledge of what is happening in the optical world. We have spared neither pains nor expense in making our exhibit a live issue, which should interest every man, woman and child who may be having any trouble with their sight. Our exhibit is decidedly educational, as we show you tho latest science in spec-tacle-making, and fitting, by methods so practical that you may, in ten minutes, acquire knowledge the importance of which might never reach you through the I columns of the newspaper. TAKE YOUR TIME. It must be true that there will he many I quiet days' on the Exhibition grounds. I Improve these quiet days by studying . our exhibit, or by having your eyes tested, as you will thus avoid any excitement . that might attend an examination made 5 when the exhibit is crowded. We are . just as careful and painstaking in the ex- . animation made on the grounds as we ; would be in our city office, and it remains ) for you to select the time. 3 , We regret that our machinery was not t in full operation for the first week, owing 1 to the strike (the usual complaint), but we are now in full swing. We wish you to feel that in place of the continual expenditure of newspaper advertising, we expect to devote the cost of the same to showing you, in a practical way. the importance to yourself of knowing the real difference between old-style, makeshift glasses, that have been so long ir use, as compared with the really scientifit up-to-date eye-glasses.

latest and best in our line that the world affords, and always at prices much less, quality considered, than you are paying for the old-fashioned, out-of-date glasses. AN INVITATION. We extend you, as one of our patrons and friends, a special invitation to study our exhibit, and take advantage of the opportunity this offer affords. Dr. Seymour's visit here is necessarily limited, and this, therefore, an exceptional offer. OUR GUARANTEE. Mr. Barry will personally be in touch with itll the work ordered and prescribed on the Exhibition grounds, as well as at his establishment, 290, Queen Street, and if, for any reason, perfect satisfaction is not given to purchasers of glasses at the Exhibition, they may come to our Queen Street institution for readjustment of their glasses with the assuranco that the samo courtesy will be extended to them as to our regular patrons who pay our ordinary prices. WHY RE SHY? During the short period that our exhibit has been open, Dr. Seymour has remarked upon the apparent diffidence of people observing the exhibit to ask any questions, or express their desire to have their sight tested. We wish you to feci that this is really your opportunity, and that we invite your questions. It is only necessary for you to express your desire to have your own sight tested, as we make no charge for this on the grounds, nor do we urge you, except as a matter of courtesy to yourself. Whether you desire glasses at the time or not, the information offered may be of assistance to you later. _ .

hand, and learn from the men who make '. tho glasses just why they aro so much superior to the old-style, now so commonly i in use. SPECIAL OFFER. We have further decided that each of our patrons, visiting our exhibit, shall be shown special courtesies in the way of exchanging their old-stylo glasses for the new ones, at a minimum cost to themselves. In other words,, we propose, if fitted by us, to take your old glasses in part payment for now ones, and, at the same time, give you the benefit of the lowest possible prices at which now ones could be furnished for cash. OUR OBJECT IN EXHIBITING. The great pains and expenditure that we have put into'this exhibit, have not been for the purpose of selling our glasses on tho grounds with a view to any profit to ourselves—in fact, we are well aware that it will undoubtedly be a heavy expense to us, figured from a financial standpoint. Notwithstanding, we shall feel well repaid if our practical appeal to your bettor understanding, and the possible improvements offered you over the old-stylo glasses you are now wearing, are properly appreciated by you. OUR CITY BUSINESS. Our Auckland establishment is of ten years' standing, and has greatly increased in size since its inauguration, till to-day we can state that we have the largest complete institution of the kind cither in New Zealand or in Australia. We credit our rapid growth to the fact that we have spared neither pains nor expense to be first and foremost in offering you the I

-- i ill MLr LINES r* 1 P INTHELINS V« if if » GLASSES FOR OLD AND j| YOUNG. IJ [ The two most important discoveries in jj , the optical world are undoubtedly "Kryp- J tok" anil "Kontorik" lenses. t "Kryptok" lenses are a boon to those [ who need glasses for both distant and !i near vision. In the past these people Jj had to put up with many inconveniences. Jj They were always encumbered either with jj two pairs of glasses, which were continu- i ally being mislaid, or else had to wear jj those clumsy bifocals, with a piece of j! glass pasted on for reading, both unsightly jj and irritating to the sight. Now, science L has perfected "Kryptoks," and the old- ,}\ time difficulties have vanished as if by \ magic. "Kryptok" lenses look exactly I like single-sight lenses to the casual observer, but invisibly united in them are ! " two sights, the reading encased in the (lis- [ • tance, without lines for the eye to stumble j; ; over. The work of grinding these wonder- ! ful lenses is exceedingly delicate and re- ;• i quires infinite skill. You will be inter- ]■ ested in watching the complete process at r our Exhibition display. e "Kontorik" glasses are specially de- j - signed for the needs of young people, and | e are the most comfortable, and becoming j shape it is possible to devise. They aro j s ground hollow, so that they ex- I actly suit the movements of the eye. I and perfect vision is therefore obtainable ,* at every angle. Their advantages are so numerous that it is impossible to mention 5 them all here, but a few of them are the e wide field of vision they afford, their brightness and beauty, and the perfect • comfort they give in wear. Special machinery is necessary for the • grinding of; these lenses, and great skill, * j r ' both of which are present at Samuel I 6 Barry's Exhibition branch. ■ <> We can promise you an interesting half j e hour if you will but accept our invitation, • \ ; . and, should you wish your eyes tested, j we have every facility. Again wo n would remind you that Dr. Seymour's stay 10 is limited, so 'it would be wise to come . in early. _■: ' ■
