The library comprises a free readincroom; supplied with reference books and a number of popular magazines, newspapers etc., whilo the lending department contains a stock of 1000 volumes, representing ' a recent selection of all classes of literature. The official opening of the new branch library will take place this afternoon, at a quarter to (our o'clock, when ' addresses will be given by the Mayor (Mr. 1 C. i.
