London, December 11. In a letter to the press, Mr. J. F. Stackhouse, who leaves next year on the Polaris to explore King Edward Land in the Antarctic, says he frequently discussed with the late Captain Scott the exploration of the portion of King Edward Land left untouched by Scott's 1910 expedition. Scott urged him to mature his plan and to continue the work as soon as possible after. Scott's return. . v r ,
