PANAMA EXPOSITION.
WILL GERMANY TAKE .PART? ORGANISED OPPOSITION. Times-Sydney Sua Special Cable. (Received September 19, 8.5 p.m.) Berlin, September 18. With regard to the Panama Exposition, the Union of German Industrialists, embracing 55,000 firms, yesterday passed a resolution absolutely opposing participation by Germany. APPEAL TO AUSTRALIA. COMMISSION SETS SAIL. San Francisco, September 18. A commission, headed" by Mr. Thomas Smallsmith, one of the directors of Exhibition, will leave shortly for Australia on board a United States battleship, with the object of securing Australian exhibits. The officials of the exhibition are most anxious to secure official representation from Australia.
