AGITATION AGAINST TOUR. By Telegraph—Prtas Association— London, September 17. Renter's Agency at Colombo cables that an agitation has arisen against the Australian cricketers' visit in January, on the ground that Indians and Cingalese are prohibited from landing in Australia.

The Australian cricketers scored 129 against 102 made by a Calgary fifteen in a singleinnings match yesterday. Mr. Benjamin, the manager of the Australians, in an interview to-day, said the agreements had been signed for another tour of the cricketers through the United States and Canada next season. The present tour, which was the most succeeeful ever experienced, was a financial success ot an exceptional kind, and the attendances were everything that could be desired.

UNIVERSITY CLUB.

The annual general meeting of the University Club will bo held at thb University on Wednesday. 24th inst., at 8 p.m. A full attendance of members and those intending to join, is requested.
