PACIFIC CABLE BOARD.
Times-Sydney Sun Special Cable. (Received September 15, 6.55 p.m.) London, September 14. The Pacific Cable Board is not appointing a manager and has promoted the accountant to the position of secretary, believing that the administration in London is purely clerical. Mr. Milward will return to Australia.
The board entertains little hopes of the laying of a British cable in the Atlantic.
