The export of "vealers" to Canada has developed in a remarkable way during the past year (says our Wanganui correspondent). The representative of one firm operating in the Waverley (Taranaki) district has stated that his principals are prepared to buy up to 2000 veal calves for conversion into veal for the Canadian market. Messrs. Baldwin and Rayward, 30, His Majesty's Arcade, Auckland, report that the following applications for letters patent of New Zealand have been filed recently • W. P. Bradshaw, Christehurch, motor vehicle driving; T. Tait, Napier, brush handle; F. boper, Garston, chaffcutter; L. W. Mence, Waihi, spark catcher; j' C. Young, Westport, .bottle, etc., holding case.
