CAPSIZING OF A LAUNCH.

THE COROMANDEL FATALITY.

[BY telegraph.—own correspondent.] Cobomandel, Thursday. An inquest was held on the body of William Brown at Whangapoua yesterday, before Mr. B. B. Johnson, acting-coroner. Evidence was given by Constable Spellman, who identified/ the deceased by his clothing, and a watch found in the vest pocket. Fred. Peddle, who found the body, and Thomas Peddle, nephew of Mr. S. W. P. Peddle, who was the last one to see the deceased and Mr. Peddle before they left on their disastrous trip. Miss Smith, the postmistress, stated that she advised air. Peddle not to go on the bar, as the sea was too rough, but his reply was that the Enterprise would breast the waves like a duck.
