PAKURANGA CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Pakuranga Cricket Club was held in the pavilion on September 1. There was a fair attendance of members. The secretary (Mr. Geo. E. Thompson) read the report and balancesheet, which showed a credit balance of £5 19s lOd. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: —Patron, Hon. W. F. Masaey; president, Mr. C. Newland ; vicepresidents, Messrs. F. W. Lang, M.P., E. G. Eliott, A. Hulmo, A. Bent, Malcolm Buckland, T. E. White, and A. Goodare; captain, Mr. John Fitzpatrick; secretary and treasurer, Mr. Geo. E. Thompson; committee, Messrs. Jos. Roberts, Jos. Fitznatrick, M. O'Meagher, also the captain and secretary; Selection Committee, the captain, secretary, and Mr. Joseph Fitzpatrick.

TOUR OF CEYLON. By Telegraph— Association— Stdney, September 4. An Australian cricket team to tour Ceylon has been organised by the Rev. E. Waddy, of Sydney. It includes the three Waddys, Hazlitt, W. Bardsley, and Minnctt.

AUSTRALIANS AT WINNIPEG. By Telegraph—Press —Copyright. (Received September 4, 9.35 p.m.) Ottawa, September 4. In a match against Winnipeg yesterday, the Australians easily defeated the home team. They scored 283 runs for. the loss of nine wickets, and disposed of Winnipeg, for which 13 men fielded and 17 batted, for 105 runs.
