' ALLEGED DUMMYISM. * : [S3 TELEGRAPH. —SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] Wellington, Friday. The member for Tiraaru {Mr. J. Craigie) has given notice to ask the Minister for Native Affairs (the Hon. W. H. Herries): —, v (1) Whether he will cause inquiries to be made into the report that syndicates and speculators are acquiring large areas of native land by duramj ism, and aggregating such areas into the hands of a few by means of transfers and assignments. (2) Whether he will, in any measure dealing with the native land laws this session, make provision for the prevention of dummyism and aggregation in the future.
