JAPANESE FIRM'S INVOICES.
[BY TELEGRAPH.OWN' CORRESPONDENT ] Wellington, Friday. ' The City Council L has received a letter from a Japanese firm in Yokohama, with which the Libraries Committee had been communicating regarding the sale of some native bird skins at £1 to £3 each. The letter . stated : " Please pack skins carefully. We pay on delivery in Japan. Please make two invoices at your own price, the other at a shilling apiece. The latter invoice is intended for special purposes." ,' The council decided to reply that payment must be made on delivery to the firm's agents here; also, this request in regard to invoices could on no account be agreed to.
