FIXING CABLE RATES.

In a letter to the League of Empire, dealing with Imperial communications, Mr. Samuel (Post-master-General) states that arrangements are being made to secure Government control of the cable rates through a landing license granted to the companies, and that the Government will fix these rates consonant with the companies' earnings.
