BERMUDA NAVAL BASE.
"AN IMAGINATIVE STORY." MERELY .A COALING DEPOT. Sydney Sun Cjble.—Copyright. (Received August 1, 7.10 p.m.) Washington, August 6. Britain is reported to have informed the United States that she is reestablishing a naval station at the Bermudas for repairs and the care of the ships employed in those waters. '"', Sir George Bullock, Governor of the Bermudas, has declared that the story of a large naval base to be established in the islands is purely imaginative. Possibly a coaling depot will be established. The idea of Britain and the United States quarrelling over the matter was ridiculous.
