Ernest Barry (England) has commenced strict training for his inatch with Harry Pearce (Australia) for the sculling championship of England and the world, the Sportsman Cup, and £500 a-side. He is now only 3Jib above his rowing weight. Pearce, who was twice afloat yesterday, is very fit. McVilly, the Tasmanian sculler, accompanied him in his morning spin. .
