\ ; San Fbancisco,. May 10. A terrible tragedy has been perpetrated on the ranch of H. A. Wellington, three miles from. Dixon, Montana. V"Wellington's i body -was found- riddled ■■»J with bullets. His wife is badly wounded, and is not expected to live.' A young boy and the cook employed on the ranch are in v. serious - condition. A man named „■ Starisky' attacked ; the family with a re-,. V volver, and, :' after killing the owner of - the ranch outright, and wounding , the others, he turned the weapon on himself and committed suicide. ■; The news, of the ', tragedy'■ was • brought j f. by Mrs. Dixon, who crawled threequarters■ _ ' of a mile to the nearest neighbour. The • unfortunate woman was nearly dead from , loss of blood. . There were four bullet- .. wounds in her. body, and her hands were shot through; There was a bullet- ij f>| in her chest and another in her neck. Mrs. Dixon collapsed after she had told her story. , ? .
