KAIPARA UNION.

Owing to the military camps and the consequent absence of supporters from the district, the annual meeting of the Kaipara Union did not result in much. business being done, writes our Helensville correspondent. The adjourned annual meeting, however, was dulv held after the return of the Mounted Rifle corps, and the business carried through. Mr. J. G. Coates, M.P., was elected patron, Mr. Jas. McLeod. president; Messrs. G. Fleming, S. Vinson. W. Rimmer. and Donovan, vice-presidents; others to he nominated by clubs; and Mr. C. S. White was elected secretary and treasurer. Mr. " Tui" McEwin was appointed chairman of the Executive Committee.- The balance-sheet showed a credit of £7 9s. ■ '.'--',.. ~ The Parakai. Helensville, Waimauku. and Kaukapakapa teams were entered for the cup competition, for which it was arranged that three rounds be played. Tie opening matches take place on Saturday, May 17, when Parakai plays Waimauku and Kaukapakapa meets Helensville. . „ The proposed " country week in Auckland was under discussion, and the union, although not receiving financial assistance like the - unions further north, hopes to take part in the fixtures.

NORTHERN WAIROA UNION. A meeting of the executive of the Northern Wairoa Enpby Union" was held at Dargavillo on Saturday (writes our Dargaville correspondent), there being present: Messrs.
