The federation officers : have visited various centres, and the re- ', sponse, financial and otherwise, to the '" appeal has been gratifyingly successful. 1 Funds are coming to hand steadily and ' gonerously, and the movement can be considered as well under way. Not only business and manufacturing people, but ' farmers, too, have responded willingly to the call for assistance in the matter of bringing the employers of the Dominion into line to protect their interests. Mr. W. Hopkirk (president of the federation) and Mr. W. Pry or (secretary) leave for Auckland on Monday next to inaugurate tho campaign in the Northern city. It i 8 understood that Dunedin and Napier have 'been, what- is termed "thoroughly worked."
