BUSINESS DONE YESTERDAY.

There was very little business done on the Stock Exchange yesterday. Standard lines were particularly quiet. Bank of New Zealands were in demand at £11 ss, but holders did not quote; National Bank rights were reported as sold at 19s 6d, with further buyers at 19s. Taupiri Coals w?re wanted at 23s 6d, with sellers at 23s 9d. . South British were on the market at 75s 6d, buyers offering 14s 6d. Wilsons Portland Cements (ord.) changed hands at 30s. More were wanted at that figure, sellers holding for 31s. In mining lines Talismans sold at 375, with further bids at a similar figure, sellers asked 37s 6d. Wailiis were done at 31s 9d, with a continued demand for more at the same price, and sellers at 32a. Waihi Grand Junctions realised 21s, while closing quotations .wore sellers 21s 3d, buyers 21s.
