FREE FIGHT AT A MEETING. FIFTY STUDENTS EJECTED. By Telegraph.— Association.— Copyright (Received March 14, 11.5 p.m.) • ' London, March 14. University students created a pandemonium at a meeting, which was held by Mrs. Pankhurst, the suffra-' gette leader, at Glasgow last evening. Fifty of the students were ejected after a fierce fight. RAID ON A STUDIO. PLANT UNDER THE FLOOR. ACIDS, FLINTS, AND HAMMERS London, March 13. The police raided a studio at Camden Hill Gardens to-day and arrested a woman named Olive Hocken, who was charged with conspiracy to burn the Rockhampton golf pavilion. . A large quantity of corrosive fluid, flints, hammers, wire-cutting apparatus, and false motor-car identification plates were ' discovered under the flooring of the studio. The woman has been, remanded for a week. The Treasury has issued a writ against 'Mr. Pethick Lawrence and has recovered the sum of £600, balance of the costs in the conspiracy prosecutions. HOW BITERS WILL BE BITTEN. Active measures to fight the suffragettes with their own weapons are being taken by a new women's leasrue which (according to a cablegram published in the Australian papers) has been formed in London to suppress the militant tactics. Every act of violence perpetrated by the members of the Women's Social and Political Union (Mr» Pankhurst'* organisation) will be followed by attacks on the private houses and property of the suffragettes. Any fine imposed on members of the new league will be met bv a levy on the other members. Already 500 women .have signified their adherence to the new body. , '
