DAMAGE TO A FOUNDRY.
LESS THAN EXPECTED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, Wednesday. The damage caused by the outbreak of fire at Booth McDonald and Co.'s foundry works last night is nothing like as serious as was at first thought. The actual destruction will not reach £1000, and the insurances will amply cover that. There will be some loss of time, but repairs are being effected vigorously.
