DENTAL ASSOCIATION.
THE ANNUAL GATHERING. The members of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Dental Association came together last night for their eighth annual meeting and dinner. A large number of members and guests were present. After the toast of "The King had been honoured, the president of the year (Mr. Herbert Oox, D3>.S., read his address. He congratulated the association, on the past year's work, which in every way was satisfactory. He advocated the examination of every school child's teeth, and pointed cut what a loss was sustained by the community Owing to bad teeth. The question of ideal meals, from a dental point of view, was then considered. In replying to the toast of " Oar Guests," Mr. T. u. wells (president of the Headmasters' Association) urged that the time had come for the Government to be responsible for every child's teeth in order that the ' children might be physically fit to be an asset to the State. Other toasts honoured were "The New Zealand Dental Association," "The British Medical Association," and "The Press." { During the proceedings selections were Slated by Eady's orchestra, and Mr. N.
