CROQUET.
AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. The Auckland Croquet Association's championship meeting was continued on the Remuera lawn yesterday. In the doubles competition MASS, Smith and Mrs. Brown defeated Mrs, Clarke and Sirs. Briffault, and Mrs. Thornes and Mrs. O'Donnsil won from Mrs. Blackburn and Miss Esam respectively in the singles competition. To-day Mrs. Potter and Mrs. Oldham will play Mrs. Coutta and Mrs. Gallangher at 10 a-ra., Mrs. Gardner and Mrs. Airey meeting Miss Workman and Miss Heaketh at the same hour. In the afternoon at 1.30 o'clock Mts. Brown will play Mrs. Walker,, and Mrs. Clarke will play Mrs. Jacks. Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Bell must be ready to play during the afternoon, if called oil. Competitor? are. requests to pete that they may be called on to play at any time during the week.
