AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP. WICK HAM BEATS LONGWORTH. By Telegraph.Press Association. — (Received February 23, 5.5 p.m.) Melbourne, February 22. The 100 yds swimming championship of Australia was won by E. Wick ham, Barry being second, and Longworth third. Tho time was 595. The three-quarters of a milo was won by Longworth. with Smith second, and Springfield third. Time, 18m 365. NEW RECORD BY MISS FANNY DURACK. The ladies' 330 yds State swimming championship was won by Miss Fanny Durack, beating the world's record by 13 2-59. Time, 4m 12s. The former record wad held by Miss Daisy Curwen (England). CARNIVAL AT WELLINGTON. [BY TELEGRAPH.— PRE'd ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Sunday. At the "Wellington Amateur Swimming Club's carnival, the provincial 220 yds championship was won by R. Healey, in 2m 44 l-ss. B. C. Freyberg was second, closo up. The schools' relay race for the Duthie Cup fell to the holders, the Clyde Quay School. Tho 440 yds handicap fell to N. D. Russell, with W. G. Morpeth second. Time, 7m 10 4-ss.
