4 three men .aebested. A fracas bc' -eer 'a number of more ,or less intoxicated men took place near the corner of Queen and Welleslev Streets 01, Saturday night. Blows were freely exchanged, and larg* crowd soon collected. A number of police officers were quickly on the spot, and succeeded in arresting three me":. Detective-Sweeney had tlie misfortune to receive on© of the blows which were being indiscriminately delivered, with, the result that one of his teeth was broken, and his lip badly cut. The men who were arrested bore outward and visible signs of conflict, and presented a sorry spectacle as they were searched in the watch-house. One of the trio, who was helplessly drunk, had his pockets filled with pieces of broken glass, the residue of beer bottles, which had been smashed during the melee, his clothes being well saturated with the contents. The men who were arrested will appear at the Folic© Court tEls morning.
