NEW CHURCH AT MOUNT ALBERT.
FOUNDATION STONE LAID.
I The foundation stone of a now Pvesby- [ terian Church at Mount Albert, opposite Thode's store, , was laid on Saturday afternoon by Mr. J. C. Entrican, who donated the site. At the service in connection with the ceremony, the moderator of the presbytery (Rev. W. Trotter) presided. The lessons were read by the Revs.' W. McLean and J. M. Saunders, and the dedicatory prayer by Rev. G. B. Munro. The opening address was delivered by Rev. I. Jolly, while Rev. R. So miner also spoke briefly. A number of other Presbyterian ministers were present. At the conclusion of the ceremony afternoon tea was served in the Public Hall, the ladies of Mount Albert being the • hostesses. ; •- The new church t which will accommodate about 200 will fill a much felt want in the district. It will be called the Mount Albert Presbyterian Church.
