SUNDAY-SCHOOL UNION.
A GENERAL committee meeting of the 'Auckland Sunday-school Union was held at the Pitt Street schoolroom on Friday last. In the absence of the president the Rev. W. A. Hay occupi(Kl the chair. .It was announced that the diploma of honour would shortly be presented to Mr. Eady, who has been connected with Sundayschool work for over 60 years. The monthly report from the Sundayschool organiser showed that excellent work had been done in the Tangitu and surrounding districts, although, effective work couldnot be carried out satisfactorily owing to lack of roads. Letters were received from Waimea, Te Kuiti, and Te Awamtitu schools asking for admission to tbo union. Messrs. Watkinson (Pitt and Edwin Streets school), and Watson (Papatotetoe), were appointed delegates to the Sunday-school Convention at Zurich in July next. Committees were appointed in connection with the forward movement and home mission work.
Mr. Scott was elected' secretary, in succeseiion to the Rev. Mr. Wool ley, who has retired.
