i The final wool sale of the seson was held fo-dav, when 4652 bales were catalogued. The quality all round was not high. From tie commencement of the sale to the end -the bidding was brisk, a keenness being • ovident throughout, The sale is said to bo about the best that has ever been held in Invorcargill. Prices were from Id to lid all round 'better than at the January sales, md quite on a par with the prices that luled at Dunedin at the beginning of the ' reek. BUTTER AND EGGS. The wholesale quotations for butter and ©res for the week ending March 1 are \ as follows: —Butter, factory Is o£d per lb, : farmers' Sd per lb; eggs, Is 3d per dozen. COUNTRY SALES. Messrs.
